This recipe is from Debbie Godin's grandmother... it's truly French Canadian authentic..

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 lb ground veal
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 2 cloved minced garlic
  • 3 small onions, finely diced
  • 3 grated raw potatoes
  • 1 tsp cinammon
  • 1 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 2 tsp allspice
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

Step 1

Brown meat in pot and drain fat.

Add all other ingredients. Simmer for 2 hours. Taste for spices and add more if necessary. Place in unbaked pie shel and cover. Brush with eggs and milk. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Sit for 10 minutes.
