Ingredients
- 2 c diced potatoes
- 2 c water
- 1/2 c sliced carrots
- 1/4 c chopped onion
- 1/4 c butter cubed
- 1/4 c flour
- 2 c milk
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 c shredded cheddar cheese
- 1.5 c cooked cubed ham
- bread bowls

Preparation
Step 1
In a large saucepan combine potatoes, water, carrots, and onion. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until tender.
In another saucepan melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cook and stir 2 minutes or until thickened. Stir in cheese until melted. Stir into undrained potato mixture. Add ham and heat. Serve in bread bowls with bread cubes.
