Ingredients
- 1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup wheat flour
- 2 Tbs. packed brown sugar
- 1 Tbs. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 eggs lightly beaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup peanuts chopped
- 1/4 cup toasted wheat germ
- 1 Tbs. milk
- 2 tsp. packed brown sugar
Preparation
Step 1
lightly grease large baking sheet
in large bowl combine first 6 ingredients
cut in peanut butter and butter until mix is coarse crumbs
make well in center
in medium bowl, combine next 6 ingredients
add to dry mix
stir until moistened
turn onto well floured surface
knead 10-12 strokes or until nearly smooth
divide dough in 1/2
pat each into 6" circle
cut each into 6 wedges
place 2" apart on prepared sheet
brush with remaining milk, sprinkle with brown sugar
bake 400 for 12-14 min. until golden
serve warm
