Russian Tea Cakes

Ingredients

  • Sift:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Mix butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla thoroughly.

Stir in flour, salt and nuts.

Chill dough and roll in 1" balls. Place 2 1/2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Bake until set, not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners sugar. When cool, roll in sugar again.
