BRISKET AND COLA

A family tradition recipe from Aunty Suzie... a great dinner for a large group!

Ingredients

  • 1- 5 lb brisket of beef
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 24 oz coke
  • 1/2 cup mustard
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tsp soya sauce
  • 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp Italian dressing
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Place roast in pan. Generously salt and pepper both sides. Mix together rest of ingredients in a blender to make a smooth sauce. Pour over roast. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes, then 30 minutes per pound, plus 30 minutes at the end. Then, remove form heat and cover for 30 minutes. Baste ever 30 minutes.
