Ingredients

  • 1

    lb round steak, sliced across the grain into strips

  • dash paprika

  • 2

    Tbsp butter

  • dash garlic salt

  • 1

    c. green onion, sliced, divided

  • 1

    green pepper. chopped or sliced into strips

  • 2

    bouillon cubes (or 2 tsp soup starter)

  • ¼

    c soy sauce

  • 2

    Tbsp cornstarch or tapioca starch

  • 2

    c water

  • 2

    c uncooked rice

Directions

Cook rice according to package directions. Meanwhile, brown steak in butter with paprika and garlic salt. Add bouillon cubes, water and half the green onions. Simmer 30 minutes or until very tender. Add remaining onion and pepper, simmer another five minutes. Combine soy sauce and cornstarch and stir into meat and veggies. Serve over rice with garlic bread.
