Bacon Cheese Spread (warm)

  • 1 round loaf sourdough bread, hollowed out
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups (12 oz) sour cream
  • 2 cups (8 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 tea. Worcestershire sauce
  • 3.4 lb,. sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions
  • Assorted crackers

Preparation

Step 1

Cut off top of bread and hollow out leaving a 1" shell. Cube the bread top and hollowed out bread.

In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until fluffy. Add the sour cream, cheddar cheese and Worcestershire sauce until blended; stir in bacon and onions.

Spoon into bread shell. Wrap in foil and bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour or until heated through.

Serve with reserved bread cubes and assorted crackers.
