Creamed Ham with Peas - Potato topper

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 6 TBL flour
  • 1/2 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 3 1/3 cups milk
  • 1 (8 ox) pkg cream cheese
  • 3 cups chopped ham - approx. 1 lb.
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 (4 oz) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1/2 tsp worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until tender. Blend in flour, mustard and pepper. Stir in milk. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens. Reduce heat to low. Add cream cheese, stirring until melted. Stir in ham, peas, mushrooms, and worcestershire sauce. Cook until hot. Serve over baked potatoes
