MEAT LOAF-MILK-RICH MEAT LOAF

Ingredients

  • 1/4 t. paprika
  • 1 egg
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground veal, pork, beef or used turkey it is good
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 2 c. scalded milk-cooled
  • 1 small onion, grated or 1/4 c. dried onion soaked in milk
  • 2 c. soft bread crumbs
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/4 t. pepper
  • 1/2 t. accent
  • 1/8 t. nutmeg
  • 1/8 t. cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

Preheated 350 F. oven:
Butter all sides of a loaf tin and sprinkle lightly with paprika (will gave a rich brown color to meat).
Beat egg slightly and add to meat. Alternately add the flour and milk to the meat. Add onion and work in bread crumbs.
Add salt, pepper, accent, nutmeg and cinnamon.
Turn into loaf tin place pan in a pan of hot water.
Bake for 1 hour.
