Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
Preparation
Step 1
1. Mix all ingredients well.
2. Let "age" overnight in fridge - be sure to keep it covered
as ice cream picks up odors from other foods.
3. Process in pre-chilled electric ice cream maker. Remove to a container and place in freezer to firm up.
Makes 3 cups, obviously, of very nice, rich vanilla ice cream which is perfect to serve with desserts or to add other ingredients, like chocolate chips, berries, nuts, etc.
