Ingredients
- Stuffed Jalapenos
- This is the basic recipe …. Feel free to change it anyway you want
- 3 doz. Fresh jalapeno peppers (Big Ones Are Better)
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 lb. sausage (breakfast sausage…we use Jimmy Dean regular)
- Finely diced onions … as little or as much as you want…we use about 3/4 Cup
- 2 cups Sam’s Brand Fiesta Mix Cheese , or your choice
- Tony Chachere’s Original Creole Seasoning
- Barbeque Sauce, or Barbeque seasoning, or both … I use Sweet Baby Ray’s Original
- Sliced Bacon
Preparation
Step 1
Cut tops from peppers, split in half, remove all seeds and membrane and wash
Major Hint!!! Do Not wash jalapenos until you have finished cutting them.
Mix stuffing ingredients together and stuff between two pepper halfs. Then wrap with bacon and secure with toothpick.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes, or until done to taste. While baking, frequently baste with barbeque sauce. Any leftover meat can be bacon wrapped and cooked as meatball. This recipe can be modified in any way you want. So … Bon A’ Pete ya’ll!!
