Ingredients

  • 3 pounds of beef for stew, cut into 1 1/2 inch cubes
  • 5 carrots, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 5 potatoes, diced
  • 4 onions, quartered
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 can (about 28oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 1/2 tbsps salt
  • 1 1/2 tsps paprika
  • 1 1/2 tsp worcestshire sauce
  • 3/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 bay leaf

Preparation

Step 1

Place meat, carrots, potatoes, onion, celery and tomatoes with juices in slow cooker. Blend water with spices in medium bowl. Add to slow cooker; stir to combine.

Cover and cook on low 10-12 hours. Stir occasionally.
