Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 lb rump or sirloin tip roast
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp sweet basil
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 3 c water

Preparation

Step 1

Put all ingredients in roasting pan, cover and bake at 300 degrees for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, until well done. Slice meat very thin. Strain broth and serve meat in broth. Serve with pepperoncini.
