Pecan Cream Cheese Pie

From the Southern Grill in Delaware. Published in The News Journal years ago. This is the best of two desserts-cheese cake and pecan pie!

Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 1 8-oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 c chopped pecans
  • 1 unbaked 10" pie crust
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1 c corn syrup
  • 1 t vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 375 degrees.
Cream together first 5 ingredients. Spread mixture in unbaked pie crust. Sprinkle pecans over cream cheese mixture. Combine topping ingredients, beating until smooth. Pour on top of the pie.
bake 30-35 minutes.
