Chocolate Sheet Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 stick butter or marj. softened
• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 cup water
• 4 tbsp cocoa
• 1/2 cup buttermilk or substitute
• 2 eggs

Preparation

Step 1

Mix flour & sugar.
Bring butter, shortening,water & cocoa to boil.
Stir into sugar & flour---Mix well.
Add soda to buttermilk. Add to flour mixture.
Add vanilla & eggs (slightly beaten).
Pour into greased sheet cake pan.
Bake @ 350* for 20 minutes.
