Energy Bars

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup lite corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla
  • 4 cups Quick cooking Oatmeal
  • Topping
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup butterscotch or carmel chips
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter

Preparation

Step 1

Combine butter, peanut butter and brown sugar. Add corn syrup and vanilla. Gradually add the oats. Press into greased 13 X 9 pan and bake at 400 degrees for 12 to 14 minutes. Cool 5 minutes on a wire rack. Meanwhile for topping, melt chips and peanut butter in microwave oven or sauce pan. Stir until blended well. Apread over warm bars. Cool completely. Refrigerate for 2 to 3 hours before cutting.
