Ingredients
- 2 qts thinly sliced cucumbers
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 T salt
- 1 1/2 c sugar
- 1/2 c apple cider vinegar
Preparation
Step 1
Place cucumbers, onions and salt in a large bowl; cover with cold water. Let stand 2 hours; drain. Mix sugar and vinegar; pour over cucumber mixture. Mix well. Put into pint freezer containers. Leave 1/4" spae at top and freeze Thaw 3 to 4 hours before serving.
HINT: Dissolve sugar in warm vinegar to melt well and then cool before adding to cucumbers (so I do this step first).
