Ingredients
- Filling:
- 8 oz. dried figs (light in color, not black)
- 4 oz. pitted dates
- 2 Tbsp. slivered almonds
- 1 Tbsp. honey or agave nectar
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. ginger
- Crust:
- 1 c. oat flour (grind oats in food processor)- can use Gluten Free Oats
- 1 c. rolled oats - can use Gluten Free Oats
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 /f tsp. salt
- 4 oz unsweetened applesauce
- 3 Tbsp. honey or agave nectar
- 1/4 c. water
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Mix all crust ingredients together well. Press half of the mixture into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
3. Add Filling Ingredients to a food processor one at time to create a thick filling.
4. Spoon over crust and spread out evenly.
5. Top with remaining crust and pat down slightly.
6. Bake 30 minutes. Cool completely before cutting into squares.
