Ingredients
- 1 package extra-moist devils food cake mix with pudding
- ½ cup warm water
- 4 large eggs
- 1 Tbsp vanilla
- ¼ cup cooking oil
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
Preparation
Step 1
Blend cake mix, water, oil, eggs, sour cream and vanilla, until moistened. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into greased and floured angel cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 50 to 55 minutes. Cake will crack. Cook about 10 minutes. Loosen edges, turn out on wire rack, and bottom side up, spread top and sides with cocoa frosting.
FROSTING:
2 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup soft butter
½ cup cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
Sift sugar and cocoa. With wooden spoon slightly beat butter with vanilla. Gradually beat in cocoa mixture, then enough hot tap water (2-3 Tbsps) to make a good spreading consistency.
