Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • 1 Tbs. Butter
  • 1 Tbs. Cornstarch
  • 2-3 Cups Sliced Peaches, fresh or frozen
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt
  • 3 tsp. Baking Powder
  • 1/4 Cup Butter, softened
  • 1/2 Cup Milk

Step 1

Mix cornstarch with water in a gravy shaker. Add this mixture with sugar and butter in a saucepan and heat until boiling. Add the peaches and reheat. Place in a 9" x 9" square baking dish. For topping: blend together flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and butter. Add milk and stir. Spoon runny dough over the hot fruit. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes.
