Walnut and Romaine Salad

Ingredients

  • Dressing:
  • 1 hear Romaine lettuce, torn into bite size pieces
  • 1 red delicious apple, cut into chunks
  • 4 ounces bleu cheese or gorgonzola, crumbles
  • 1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts, lightly toasted
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

Combine salad ingredients in a large bowl. Whisk together dressing ingredients in a small bowl and add to salad ingredients.
