Tried and True Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 # ground beef
  • 3/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/4 cup catsup
  • 2 Tbls brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Combine beef, bread crumbs, eggs, milk, onion, salt and pepper; form mixture into a loaf.

Place in a slow cooker; heat on high setting one hour.

Reduce to low setting and cook 4-5 hours.

Whisk remaining ingredients together; pour over beef.

Heat on high setting an additional 15 minutes.
