All Butter Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs
  • ½ Lb Butter
  • 1 ½ Cups Sugar
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ Cup Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Beat eggs until foamy. In separate bowl cream butter and sugar. Blend in eggs, set aside.

Combine flour and baking powder. Sift together 3 times. Gradually add flour mixture with the milk to egg mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Mix until well combined. Stir in vanilla.

Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan. Pour batter evenly into pan.

Bake at 350 Degrees for 40 to 50 minutes or until a tester comes out clean. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes. Remove from pan and cool on wire rack.

Serve with sweetened whipped cream and sweetened fresh fruit or dust with powdered sugar.

SWEETENED WHIPPED CREAM:
Whip 1 cup whipping cream with 2 Tbsp powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
