Ingredients
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp whole grain mustard
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp dry mustard
- 3 cups coleslaw mix
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup scallions, sliced
- Salt and cayenne pepper to taste
- 8 strips bacon, partially cooked
- 8 natural casing hot dogs
- 8 slices Cheddar or American cheese
- 8 hot dog buns, split
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat grill to medium-high; preheat broiler to high with rack 6" from the element.
Whisk mayonnaise, mustard, honey, vinegar, and dry mustard together in a bowl. Add coleslaw, parsley, scallions, and seasonings, toss to coat, then chill.
Wrap a strip of bacon around each hot dog, securing ends with toothpicks. Grill hot dogs, turning often, until bacon is cooked, about 5 minutes. Tuck a slice of cheese inside each bun, place on a baking sheet, and broil until cheese melts and bun is toasted, 1-2 minutes.
To serve, remove toothpicks from hot dogs, place in buns, and top with slaw.
