Ingredients

  • 8 oz Elbow Macaroni
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 Tbsp All-purpose Flour
  • 1/8 tsp Dry Mustard
  • 1/8 tsp Salt (optional)
  • 1/8 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup Croutons

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350.
2. Cook macaroni for 9 minutes, drain, cover, and set aside.
3. In medium saucepan, melt butter, blend in flour, mustard, salt, and pepper
4. Cook until mixture is smooth and bubbly; gradually add milk
5. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils; simmer 1 minute, stirring constantly.
6. Gradually mix in cheese. Stir over low heat until cheese is melted.
7. Add pasta; mix together lightly. Pour into 2 qt casserole.
8. Top with croutons.
9. Bake 25 minutes.
