Ingredients
- 4 Tbs sesame seeds
- 1 cup slivered almonds
- 4 Tbs sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 cup peanut oil
- 6 tabs red wine vinegar
- 1 pk top ramen
- 1 head cabbage; shredded
- 4 green onions
- 1-2 pk top ramen
Preparation
Step 1
toast sesame seeds and almonds at 325 degrees (after about 5-10 minutes, stir and watch until they are just turning tannish.
Dressing: Combine sugar, salt, peanut oil and red wine vinegar. Crush 1 package of top ramen into dressing nd let stand 30 minutes before serving.
Combine cabbage, green onions and add'l top ramen. Add sesame seeds and almonds; toss. Add dressing and toss right before serving.
Note: May add sliced and cooked, cold chicken. Also, cut up canned mandarin oranges and water chestnuts
