Ingredients

  • 2 large onions chopped
  • 2 T fat
  • 2 lbs cubed chuck beef
  • 2 large potatoes cut into 1/8 inch slices
  • 1 tin mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/4 t pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cups crushed potato chips

Preparation

Step 1

Brown onions in fat. Add meat and water. Cover and simmer till tender. Pour into 13 x 9 baking dish. Place potato slices over meat. Blend soup, sour cream, milk, salt and pepper. Pour evenly over top and sprinkle with cheese and potato chips. Bake uncovered 1 1/2 hours at 350.
