Ingredients
- 3 lbs wheat flour
- 2 lbs quick oats
- 2 c brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp baking soda
- 3/4 c butter, melted
- 6 c buttermilk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- t tbsp maple flavoring
Preparation
Step 1
Mix dry ingredients. Add melted butter, buttermilk and flavorings and mix well. Put in three greased cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees until done. Remove from the oven and place on racks to cool.
Crumble, then fill a cookie sheet half full with crumbs. Toast in a 250-300 degree oven, stirring constantly until moisture is gone. Cool and store in an airtight container.
