Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
- 1/2 C diced onion
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 2 1/2 C milk
- 8-12 slices American cheese
- 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 C dried elbow macaroni
Preparation
Step 1
Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, in a large saucepan, cook onions in butter or margarine until tender.
Stir in flour and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Add milk and whisk until blended.
Add worcestershire sauce, and cook until bubbly, whisking frequently.
Add cheese and stir until melted.
Combine cheese mixture with cooked macaroni and stir to combine. Pour into a casserole dish and bake in a 350 degree oven for 25-30 minutes.
