Ingredients
- Dressing:
- Bag of Lettuce
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 can water chestnuts, chopped
- 1 oz. bag frozen peas unthawed
- 3 large tomatoes, chopped into bite-size chunks
- 2 cups mayonnaise (lowfat or regular)
- 2 TBSP sugar
- Topping:
- 3-4 sliced hard boiled eggs (if desired)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 3-5 slices crumbled cooked bacon
Preparation
Step 1
Boil eggs until hard boiled, peel, cool and slice – set aside
Cook bacon until crip, cool and crumble – set aside
Mix mayo and sugar together in small bowl – set aside
Layer the salad ingredients in a large serving bowl or glass trifle dish in the following order:
Lettuce
Chopped celery
Chopped water chestnuts
Frozen peas
Chopped tomatoes
Mayo/sugar mixture
Sliced eggs
Shredded cheese
Crumbled bacon
