Ingredients
- 1 lb. fresh green beans
- 1 large yellow onion, julienned
- 8 bacon slices, chopped
- 1/8 cup olive oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Wash and snap the ends of the greens. Set aside to drain and dry. Cut the bacon into 1/3 strips and cook in a skillet on medium-high heat until crisp. remove and allow to drain on paper towels.
Combine the green beans, onions and olive oil in a mixing bowl and toss. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Heat charcoal grill to medium-hot coals. Place all ingredients into a grill pan and cook over direct heat until the onions become translucent. Remove and return to the mixing bowl adding the bacon strips, salt and pepper. Toss again and serve.
