Cinnamon-Sugar Apple Rings

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons light butter
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon*
  • 3 large apples, cored, and cut into 1/2-inch thick rings
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Preparation

Step 1

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat; add the brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring until blended. Add the apple rings; toss gently to coat. Cover, and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts, and serve.
