Sour Dough Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 3/4 c corn oil
  • 4 t baking powder
  • 1 c warm water
  • 2 t salt
  • 2 c buttermilk
  • 1/4 t soda
  • 6 or more cups flour

Preparation

Step 1

Dissolve yeast in warm water
Add the rest of the ingredients - no need to let rise, but it doesn't hurt to let stand a few minutes)
Refrigerate
You can use a portion of the dough and keep the remainder refrigerator
Roll out, cut with floured biscuit cuter
Bake at 400 for 15 minutes until risen and fluffy and light brown
