Bean Quartet

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 6 slices bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 16oz. can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 80oz. can lima beans, drained
  • 1 8-oz. can pork and beans with tomato sauce
  • 1 8-oz. can red kidney beans, drained
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • 1/4 vinegar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 375 degrees.
In a skillet cook onion and bacon till bacon is crisp and onion is tender but not brown; drain.
In a 1 and 1/2 qt. casserole combine onion mixture, garbanzo beans, lima beans, pork and beans, kidney beans, brown sugar, ctsup and vinegar. Bake, covered, in a 375 oven for 1 hour. Uncover and bake about 10 minutes more or till of desired consistency.
