Ingredients

  • 4 lb. bone-in prime rib oven roast
  • 4 cloves garlic, slivered
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. Montreal steak spice

Step 1

Place roast on rack in roasting pan, bone side down. Make slits all around roast and fill with garlic slivers. Brush roast with oil and sprinkle with spice. Place roast in 325F oven for 2 hours or until meat thermometer inserted into centre registers 145F for rare or cook until desired doneness. Reserve any pan juices. Let roast stand for 10 mins. Place onto cutting board and remove any string. Cut meat away from the bone. Pour juices over sliced meat and serve.
