Ingredients
- 7 oz. white rice
- 1/2 gallon whole mild
- pint of heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- (raisins optional)
Preparation
Step 1
Put the rice in a saucepan and cover with water. Cook until water is absorbed (about 10 mins) Add whole milk and cook for 50 minutes on stove top, stirring often.
Add ¾ cup sugar, egg, vanilla, heavy cream to rice and stir. (Add raisins, if using) Cook additional 5 minutes.
Pour into baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon. Place in water bath and bake in 350º oven for 30 mins.
Serve warm or cold.
