Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- pinch of cinnamon
- Filling:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 4 cups blueberries
Preparation
Step 1
Crust:
Stir together 1 cup sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Use a fork and blend in shortening and egg until crumbly. Pat half in 9 x 13 pan that has been greased.
Filling:
Stir together 1/2 cup sugar and cornstarch. Gently mix in blueberries. Sprinkle over crust. Crumble remaining dough over blueberry layer. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until top is slightly brown. Cool completely before cutting. into squares.
