Red Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs. top round steak, cut into 1/4" pieces
  • 2 Tb. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 Tb. flour
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/3 c. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Preparation

Step 1

Brown steak in hot oil over medium heat in a Dutch oven. Add flour; cook 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add water and remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes or until meat is tender.
