Spinach Pesto Pasta

Children ages 4-8 years old need 10mg of iron per day. Spinach has 6.4 mg per 1 cup.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste.
  • warm pasta

Preparation

Step 1

Spinach Pesto
1 cup spinach
1/4 cup walnuts

Blend together in a food processor. Then add:
1/3 cup olive oil
1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste.

Blend again in the food processor.

Then, it’s easy to top some warm pasta!
