Apple Spice Snack Cake

Nothing could be simpler or more delicious than this moist apple cake," relates Reba Savoie of Roswell, New Mexico. It's easy to create the four-ingredient treat with a spice cake mix...and even easier on your pocketbook at just 18 cents per piece.

Ingredients

• 1 package (18-1/4 ounces) spice cake mix
• 1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
• 2 eggs
• 2 tablespoons canola oil

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients; beat on low speed for 30 seconds. Beat on medium for 2 minutes.

Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

This is so easy and delicious! My 13-year old son loved it. I also added in 1/2 cup chopped pecans and I put a light powdered sugar glaze on it (1 c. powdered sugar, 1 T. milk, 1 t. vanilla.)

This cake is sooo simple and really very good. It's very moist...I made it two days ago and it's still very moist. It might be good with a little whipped cream or some ice cream, but it's very good all by itself!

Good easy cake. I think next time I would chop the pie filling into smaller bits and maybe use a bundt pan. I wasn't sure 2Tb of oil would make it moist enough, but it did. Thanks!

This is a moist, delicious and extremely simple to make cake. It's best with some Cool Whip.
