Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 4 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 lb. hamburger (low fat, use turkey burger)
  • 3 c. hot water
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped fine
  • 12 oz. tomato paste
  • 1 lb. lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 lb. ricotta cheese
  • 1 lb. mozarella cheese
  • 1/2 lb. cojack cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Warm oil in large saucepan, soften garlic, onion, and rosemary in hot oil.
Cook burger in softened garlic mix.
Add tomato paste.
Stir in hot water.
Simmer for at least 45 minutes.

Mix cottage and ricotta cheeses.
Shred mozarella and cojack cheeses, keeping separate.

Put 1/2-1 c. of sauce in bottom of sauce pan.
Layer of lasagna noodles.
1/2-1 c. of sauce
Sprinkle with 1/3 of mozzarella cheese
Layer of lasagna noodles
Evenly coat with ricotta/cottage cheese mix
1/2-1 c. of sauce
Sprinkle with 1/3 of mozzarella cheese
Layer of lasagna noodles
1/2-1 c. of sauce
Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese
Layer of lasagna noodles
Remaining sauce
Sprinkle with cojack cheese


350 degree oven until bubbly, usually about 45 minutes
Let stand for 15 minutes before serving
