Creamed Mushrooms Ukrainian Style

Ingredients

• 3 tablespoons butter
• 1 medium onion chopped
• 1 pound mushrooms sliced
• 2 teaspoons flour - (to 3)
• Salt to taste
• Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
• 2 tablespoons sour cream - (to 3)

Preparation

Step 1

In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the onion and mushrooms. Cover and cook 20 minutes over low heat. Remove the cover and sprinkle the flour over the mushrooms. Blend. Cook and stir for 1 to 2 minutes. Add the salt, pepper, and sour cream. Heat thoroughly, but do not boil.

This recipe yields 3 to 4 side dish servings.
