Ingredients
- Sift together:
- 3/4 cup of cornmeal
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- Mix in:
- 1 cup of milk
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 tbs. melted shortening or oil
Preparation
Step 1
Spoon ingredients into shallow, buttered pan, (8" square) for thick bread, layer for thin.
Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes.
