Homemade Vanilla Extract

Ingredients

• 4 split vanilla beans cut into 1" pieces
• 1 pint vodka

Preparation

Step 1

Place vanilla beans and vodka in a sterilized pint jar. Cap and seal.
Let stand in cool dark place for 1 month. Shake bottle gently from time to time.
Pour liquid through a cheesecloth lined seive into a sterilized pint jar. Seal tightly; store in cool dark place.
