Step 1
1. Bring the eggs, 1 TB salt, and 2 quarts water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. As soon as the water reaches a boil, remove the pan from the heat, cover, and let sit for exactly 10 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare a bowl of ice water. Transfer the eggs to the ice water and let cool for 5 minutes. Hard-boiled eggs can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
