Ingredients
- 1 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsps baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg beaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion chopped
- Oil for deep-fat frying
Preparation
Step 1
In medium bowl, combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.
Add egg, milk and onion. Stir just until mixed.
In deep-fat fryer or skillet, heat oil. Drop bater by teaspoonfuls into oil. Fry 2-2 1/2 minutes ir until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
