Granola Mix

Ingredients

  • 10 c. old-fashioned oats
  • 2 c. coconut
  • 1 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped dried fruit
  • 3 1/2 c. chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts)
  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. oil
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. molasses
  • 3/4 c. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

In large saucepan combine brown sugar, water, oil, honey, molasses, salt and cinnamon; heat until sugar is melted. Pour over all the other ingredients except raisins. Stir until well coated. Place in a 300 degree oven in a 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake for 30 minutes. For crunchier granola bake 15 minutes, cool in a dry place. Use within 6 months. Makes about 20 cups.
