Manicotti Cordon Bleu

Simple recipe for a dinner that tastes great! Excellent with a side salad and garlic bread.

MY NOTES: Might this be good with an Alfredo sauce instead of a red sauce?

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg 12-oz string cheese sticks
  • 12 slices deli ham or turkey
  • 12 manicotti shells (uncooked)
  • 1 jar (26-oz) pasta sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Preparation

Step 1

1. Mix pasta sauce and water together. Spread 2/4 cup of sauce on bottom of 13x9 inch baking dish.

2. Unwrap string cheese; place one over each slice of meat and roll up. Slide rolled cheese into pasta shell. Arrange filled manicotti shells in baking dish; spread reamining sauce evenly over shells.

3. Cover with foil; bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until pasta is tender. Top with Parmesan cheese.
