Layered Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce; torn
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 6 eggs; hard boiled; sliced
  • 10 oz pk frozen peas; thawed
  • 1 lb bacon - crisp-cooked drained; crumbled
  • 2 cup Swiss cheese; shredded
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing

Preparation

Step 1

In bottom of large bowl, place 3 cups of lettuce; sprinkle with a little sugar,salt and pepper.

Layer eggs atop lettuce in bowl, standing some eggs on edge, if desired. Sprinkle generously with salt.

Layer in order: peas, remaining lettuce, bacon and cheese.

Spread mayonnaise or salad dressing over top, sealing to edge of bowl. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours or over night.

Garnish with sliced green onion and paprika, if desired. Toss before serving.
