Balloon Wine

Ingredients

  • 1 can (12 oz) frozen grape juice
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp (level) dry yeast
  • 1 toy balloon (large, must be able to expand 18 inches or more)
  • 1 glass jug (gallon)

Preparation

Step 1

Mix juice and sugar in the glass jug nearly flu of warm (not hot) water. Dissolve yeast in small amount of warm water. Put yeast in jug and mix thoroughly.

Put neck of clean deflated balloon over top of jug. Allow to stand at room temperature until working has completely stopped (about 2 months). Balloon will be losing pressure. Put in a cooler place for couple of weeks to settle.

This will yield a gallon of 12 percent wine. Balloon must not be removed or disturbed until cycle is completed and clear beverage is poured off.
